Casting young performers for "Little Mermaid" theatre auditions – Check out the details below!
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED.
About the project:
Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her friends to restore order under the sea.
Additional info:
1. Sing roughly 1 minute of a musical theatre song, ideally one sung by the character you're auditioning for. Unless you bring your own track and play it on your phone, singing auditions will be a cappella. The directors will also test your vocal range by asking you to sing scales along with the piano.
2. Read a scene from the show. These do NOT need to be memorized. We will have copies of the sides at auditions, but if you'd like to work on a scene ahead of time, you can find the scenes in the attachment.
(Those auditioning for Ariel need only perform one of these scenes of their choosing. If auditioning for a role without a scene, perform one of your choosing.)
3. Anyone wanting to be considered for Scuttle or a gull will be required to learn a tap combination. The dance can be found at this link in the attachment.
If you are interested please apply.
