Students who will have completed grades 2-8 at the end of the 24-25 school year are welcome to audition for the "Willy Wonka Jr." Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka’s rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences. Additional info: HOW TO PREPARE - Prepare 40-60 seconds of a song that demonstrates your vocal ability. You may bring a karaoke track (on a phone/iPad/etc.) to play during your audition. - Wear comfortable shoes, as there will be a dance portion of the audition. - You will be asked to read scenes from the script. You may review audition sides at the Danville Public Library starting on Saturday, April 26. - Bring a list of your conflicts between May 18 and July 20. - You will fill out a form IN PERSON before going up to audition (please arrive ~15 minutes early to complete this step).
