PRINCIPAL ROLE. Afghan/Middle Eastern/Central/South Asian talent. Madina is an unapologetic force of nature. She pulls everyone into her orbit the moment she cracks a joke. The kind of girl who will roast you affectionately, copy your homework without shame, and then defend you like it’s her full-time job. Sure, she ends up in detention a little too often, but her heart and intentions are always pure ... even if her ideas are a little chaotic.
PRINCIPAL ROLE. Central/Middle Eastern/South Asian talent. Everyone knows Yasmin is a stand-out student. Top of her class, a social butterfly, and always two steps (assignments!) ahead. But what’s the point of it all if her mom won’t notice? Beneath her bubbly exterior, she’s drained by the constant pressure to perform. Her smile doesn’t reach her eyes anymore. “Dear diary, falling apart isn’t an option…” Does anyone see her? Does anyone understand?
