Singing Audition for "Legally Blonde the Musical"

Seeking talents ages 16 and up for "Legally Blonde the Musical". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: A fabulously fun, award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde The Musical, follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances - this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal! Rate: All performance roles are unpaid. Additional info: All auditioners under 18 will need permission from a parent or guardian to audition and participate, if cast. Music: Prepare a vocal piece that is 16-32 bars (or 1 minute) in length in the style of the show, that shows your vocal range. A piano accompanist will be provided for you to sing with, so please bring printed and annotated sheet music in the correct key. No songs from Legally Blonde, please. You will have an opportunity to sing from the show if you are asked to attend callbacks. Dance: Please come prepared to dance a short combination. Dance shoes or sneakers are preferred. Please do not plan to dance in socks or bare feet. An audition combination video can be found in the attachment for those who would like to review in advance. Performances: There will be 14 performances over five weekends at the Bowie Playhouse (16500 White Marsh Park, Bowie, MD 20715). Performers are required to be in attendance for all shows.
