About the project: KROSSROAD THE MUSICAL is an original musical about the Filipino immigrant experience in pursuit of the American dream, created by Foline Roos. The two-act musical takes place in the 1990s, in both the Philippines and Chicago. Rate: $400. Additional info: This musical will be performed workshop reading/sing-through style, and the ensemble will rehearse and perform together and will learn original music and harmonies, culminating in two invited workshop performances with the goal of garnering feedback from theatre professionals, community partners and organizations, and other interested audiences in order to make revisions and pursue a full production. Prepare a 16-bar or a minute-long song in the R&B/soul genre. Mezzo soprano, can sing up to E5. Rehearsals - 6-8 evening rehearsals or afternoon weekend rehearsals scheduled between August 11th and September 9th, pending cast availability. Tech - 2 evening tech runs; Wednesday September 10th, Thursday September 11th Performances - 2 evening performances; Friday September 12th, Saturday September 13th If interested, please apply.
