Casting Boys and Girls for "Matilda, Jr"

Open to anyone aged 10 (must be 10 by opening night 10/2/2025, unfortunately directors cannot make any exceptions to this) thru the age of 18. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Please prepare 1 to 2 minutes of any song you like. If you go over 2 minutes we may stop you in the middle of your selection due to time constraints. No accompanist is provided. You may bring an accompaniment track with you to play on your device (iPhone etc.) that will be paired with our bluetooth speaker (we can help you pair it!) or you may sing accapella. If you aren’t sure what to sing, you can sing “Happy Birthday”. You may be asked to read some lines from a script (no preparation necessary). No dance call for the initial auditions. Please note that not all actors will be called for all rehearsals. In an effort to foster community, those already cast in Medina County Showbiz production of High School Musical or Wadsworth Footlighters Production of Dare to Dream will be excused from most Matilda, Jr rehearsals in order to participate in the fore-mentioned shows.
