Young Talent Wanted for Upcoming "Dreamgirls" SHOW

Audition for "Dreamgirls". All principal roles will be cast with people of color. Casting age 16 and older (by July 7) for all roles. Please see the details below. Additional info: You only need to attend one of these sessions. Callbacks, by invitation only, will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 12:30 pm. Auditions are NOT in the main theater building. If you’re not familiar with our campus, be sure to use the address above in your GPS and don’t just enter “SLOC” Free parking is available in the city-owned lot across the street. Please enter through the door on the left facing Liberty Street What to Expect at Auditions Please prepare 16 to 32 bars of music from a Broadway show – ideally in a style similar to the show. Singing from the show is welcome, but not required. An accompanist will be provided. Please have sheet music in the correct key. Dance call. Bring or wear clothes and shoes you can move in. Rehearsal Dates Rehearsals will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings, 6:30 pm-9:30 pm, and on Sunday afternoons 1:00 pm-4:00 pm. Please note rehearsal times are subject to change based on cast/crew availability. Full cast read-through will take place Monday, July 7, 2025 Rehearsals will begin in mid-July (exact date to be announced) Rehearsal Attendance The following rehearsal dates are mandatory for all cast and crew: Photo Shoot Day (TBD) Theater Clean-Up Day (Friday, September 5, 2025) Tech Week (Sunday, September 7 – Thursday, September 11, 2025) All Performances Strike (Sunday, September 21, 2025, immediately following the final performance).
