About the project: A man shares his favorite record – the 1928 musical The Drowsy Chaperone. As he plays the record, the show comes to life in his apartment. Mix in two lovebirds on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan, and a sleepy chaperone, and you have the ingredients for a show that will have everyone laughing. Additional info: Auditions will be a fun, interactive group experience, where you’ll read scenes together as a group and learn dances as a team. Auditions will begin every half hour between 10am and 1:00pm. Spoken and sung auditions start at 10am. At 10:30am, the first group will move to the dance audition while the next group begins. This rotation continues every 30 minutes until the final 1:00pm group finishes. Parents should expect auditions to last 45 minutes to 1 hour. If you are interested please apply.
