About the project: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat follows the story of Joseph, the favorite son of Jacob. Gifted with a beautiful multicolored coat, Joseph’s vivid dreams and his father’s favoritism provoke his brothers' jealousy. They sell him into slavery, but Joseph’s unique ability to interpret dreams propels him from prison to Pharaoh’s court. Ultimately, he is reunited with his family in a powerful act of forgiveness. With its wide-ranging musical styles—pop, rock, calypso, and country—this musical is a joyful celebration of hope, resilience, and redemption. Additional info: Callbacks (by invitation only): Saturday, May 3 If any of the women would like to audition for the soloist in “One More Angel in Heaven,” please prepare the solo cut in addition to the ensemble cut. This solo cut will also be available on our website at a later date. Those not interested in the solo only need to learn the ensemble cut. The audition choreography will also be released prior to the audition date so dancers can learn it in advance. The dance combo will be taught starting at 10:00 AM, so please arrive in dancewear and appropriate footwear. This dance call is intended for performers who consider themselves dancers first and are primarily interested in ensemble dance roles (such as Wives, Brothers, and/or Mrs. Potiphar).
