"Dracula" Teen Audition for the Theater

Teen auditions for the theater production of Dracula! Check out the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Set in the Transylvanian town of Sibiu, Antoniu, the son of Lord Vlad Dracul, disguises himself as a wandering minstrel to escape an unwanted marriage. He falls in love with Nadia, a beautiful schoolgirl betrothed to the Lord High Executioner, Cocos. The plot unfolds into hilarious, topsy-turvy chaos, and true love rises “triumphant overall.” Production contains all of the witty dialogue and tuneful music of the original (“Three Little Maids,” “I’ve Got a Little List,” “The Sun Whose Rays”), reimagined in 15th-century Romania, during the reign of the infamous Vlad the Impaler (Dracula). Additional info: Performance Dates: August 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 & 17, 2025 Call-backs for principal roles: Thursday, May 1, 7-10pm At the audition, be prepared to sing approximately 16-32 bars (about 1 to 2 minutes) of a song or aria in English. Light opera is preferable, however, a classical song or opera aria in the English language or a classic musical theatre song (generally from musicals written before 1965) that shows us your beautiful voice is also acceptable. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring a photocopy of your song with the measures to be sung, clearly marked, for the accompanist.
