(Range: C3-B4): SpongeBob is optimistic, innocent, and boyish. The character is very energetic and sometimes hyperactive. This role is physically demanding so actor should be able to move and dance well. Charismatic charm and naturally funny with great comedic skills and precision. Strong vocalist required.
(Range: Bb2-Bb4) Well-intentioned, but lacking common sense or skills; clueless, an innocent big softie, who can also be prone to sudden child-like fits of rage or frustration.
(Range: A2-F#4) Grumpy, cynical, dry, short-tempered, generally negative but lovable! This actor must move well, and tap-dancing skills are a plus, but not required.
(Range: A3-E5). A brainy and athletic Texan squirrel who came to Bikini Bottom for a research project. She acts as SpongeBob's most trusted ally on their quest to stop the volcano from erupting, using her vast amount of scientific knowledge and brilliant inventions to aid the mission. Actor should be able to move well.
(Range: B2-Bb4) The greedy owner of the Krusty Krab, and employer of SpongeBob and Squidward. Does whatever he can to make himself richer.
(Range: B2-G#4) Plankton’s personality outweighs his size- greedy, slick, scheming, nefarious, but also still charming. Plankton is determined and will do anything to get ahead in life. This character will need to dance and rap skills a plus.
(Range: G#3-F#5): Glamorous and sassy, a robotic/computer spouse of Plankton. Has been there for Plankton's every scheme and has become jaded and sarcastic. Strong comedy chops needed. Should move and sing well.
(Range: Bb3-F#5): Mr. Krabs' bratty teenage daughter who wants to sing with her favorite band, the Electric Skates. Pearl has a big voice and an even bigger personality. This is a character role with Gospel vocal overtones.
(Range: F#4-B5) Tries to solve the volcano crisis with big words and speeches, but not much action. They are more worried about getting re-elected than actually helping the town.
(Range: D3-F4 (F5 falsetto)) Patchy is a live-action, stereotypical pirate character who is the self-proclaimed president of the SpongeBob fan club.
(Range: E2-E4) Bikini Bottom’s News Reporter.
The French Narrator is the narrator of the show. They happen to be French. Must have good diction!
(Multiple voice parts): Rock and roll band members, the Skates are hard-core, grungy, heavy metal types.
A body builder, obsessed with looks and building muscle. ALWAYS working out.
The town driving instructor. She is sassy, sarcastic, and bitter. The glass is always half-empty.
The oldest Boomer in all of Bikini Bottom
(All voice parts) Strong featured singers. They lead the group of sardines to follow Patrick as their guru.
SpongeBob’s pet snail.
Featured backup singers. Literally the letters B, F, and F who sing and dance along with Spongebob during the number “B.F.F.”
These tap dancers become the big chorus line ensemble for Squidward in his imagination. Tap dancing experience a plus.
