Singing Opportunities for Kids in "Annie" The Musical
Seeking strong singers/dancers/actors of all ethnicities for "Annie". Will cast 10-12 orphans (females only), ages 8-16. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Rate: Pay is provided for all actors 16 years and older. Stipend available for Annie. Additional info: Callbacks will be on. Apr 22nd Complete the audition application and sign up for an audition time. Prepare to sing 16 measures of a song from a Broadway show in the style of Annie. . An accompanist will be provided. Please NO audio tracks. Virtual Auditions are available with approval. Complete an audition sign-up and choose an audition time. Once you have completed the audition process, you will see an option to request a virtual audition. Rehearsals will start the first week of June 2025 and will be M-Th 6:30p-9:30p and Sat. 10a-2p. (Mezzo-Soprano, A3–E5)-Vocal Notes: Strong, clear belt required. Must be able to sustain energy throughout the show with a powerful, expressive voice. Movement: Strong dance required. Needs stage presence and the ability to command attention. A courageous, optimistic 11-year-old girl living in an orphanage. She has a big heart, a strong will, and dreams of finding her parents.
(Baritone, B2–Gb4)-Vocal Notes: Strong baritone with the ability to be commanding yet tender in a surprising way. Movement: Some dance, possibly strong dance, and definitely a strong presence. A billionaire businessman who adopts Annie. At first, he is gruff and business-minded but ultimately shows warmth and fatherly love. We should grow to really love him and root for him.
(Alto/Mezzo, G3–D5)-Vocal Notes: Character voice with comedic timing. Belt is helpful but not required. Movement: Must be able to handle comedic physicality, strong mover. The miserable, yet irrepressible, and often drunk matron of the orphanage who dislikes children and is bitter about her life. We should love her despite ourselves!
(Soprano, Bb3–G5)-Vocal Notes: Strong soprano with a warm, lyrical tone. Movement: Strong dance with a lovely, graceful stage presence. Warbucks' intelligent and kind secretary who cares deeply for Annie. She is warm, professional, and supportive. We should fall in love with her immediately.
(Tenor, Bb2–G4)-Vocal Notes: Character tenor with a strong mix. Needs brilliant showmanship. Movement: Must have a strong physical presence and ability to dance/move well. Miss Hannigan’s scheming, flashy, and sly younger brother. He is a charming con artist. We should love him despite ourselves!
(Soprano/Mezzo, Bb3–G5)-Vocal Notes: Bright, comedic soprano with belt ability. Movement: Should be able to play up physical comedy. Strong dancer/mover. Rooster’s dim-witted and bubbly girlfriend. She is flirtatious, foolish, and loves to be the center of attention. We should love it when she shows up!

(Tenor, E3–G4)-Vocal Notes: Tenor with a smooth, old-fashioned radio voice. Movement: Some physicality for comedic timing. A charming and delightful 1930s radio host who introduces Annie on his show.
(Baritone, C3–F4)-Vocal Notes: Baritone with a refined, crisp voice. Movement: Minimal but requires elegant stage presence. The dignified British butler in Warbucks’ mansion.
(Soprano, C4–G5)-Must have tight three-part harmonies. Must move well, especially traditional “girl group” singer movement. A 1930s singing trio featured on the radio show.
