About the project: When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter. Additional info: Dance/Movement Call: All performers interested in being considered must participate in the dance/movement call After signing up, students will be assigned a Dance Call Group, along with the time of their audition Please dress in clothing that allows you to move, and wear appropriate footwear you can dance in. AUDITION DANCE. This audition dance will be taught to you on the spot. Performance Dates: WED, JUN 25 - FRI, JUN 27 / 7:30 PM Please Prepare: Actors will perform a one-minute musical theatre song (approximately 32 bars) in the style of the show; Please bring sheet music with your cuts clearly marked where to start and stop.
