Child auditions for the musical production "Something Rotten Jr.". See details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: - PLEASE NOTE: looking for "triple threat" performers. Also need a STRONG ensemble to carry the bulk of this show and story-telling. Every role is important to the production! - Students must be aged 10-18 years to audition (no one under the age of 10 for this production) - Students will need to prepare 30-60 seconds of a song. You may bring a track on your phone/device to play through our Bluetooth speaker or sing acapella. - Students will also need to prepare a 30-to-60-second monologue (memorized speech) from a play, musical, or movie. - A dance routine will also be taught that groups will perform together. Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in. CALLBACKS (if needed) will held be on Saturday, August 16th, 2025 @7 pm. REHEARSALS will start Thursday, August 21st, 2025. Supporting Dancing- Mover High Note- D5 Low Note- E3 Vocal Technique- Legit, Pop **An adorable quirky Puritan girl whom Nigel meets on the street. They fall madly in love with each other with their mutual love for Shakespeare and poetry. Seeing a great comedic actress who sings very well.
Lead Dancing- Mover High Note- G#5 Low Note- C4 Vocal Technique- Legit, Pop **Nick’s younger brother. A sweetly naive young writer and poet, perhaps a little awkward. He falls in love with Portia and ultimately finds confidence in himself through art and love. Seeking a great comedic actor who sings very well.

Though Shakespeare is extremely successful, he’s always on the lookout for inspiration, which sometimes includes borrowing ideas from others. A renaissance rock star. Think Mick Jagger or James Brown. Seeking a comedic actor with a killer pop/rock voice, tap dance skills a plus.

She loves and supports him despite his questionable decision-making and lack of success. She is whip-smart, is resourceful, and always looks on the bright side of any situation.
