"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" Seeks Kids/Teens

Looking to cast kids and teens for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: ADULTS (current 8th graders and up): If you plan to audition for a main role (Jacob, Brothers, Narrator, Potiphars, etc) you will need to select TWO excerpts to sing. Men have three excerpts to choose from, women have two. With each excerpt, there is sheet music, a demo, and the accompaniment track. The accompaniment track is what we will use during the auditions. YOUNG ENSEMBLE (Kids currently in grades 4-7): you will sing the Kids’ audition songs. There are two and you need to learn them both. Kids, your audition slot is Sunday April 13. Try to arrive at 4pm. We will run through your songs together and then have you do your individual audition for us. After everyone has finished we will dance together. There will be a dance audition for all who wish to be considered for a featured dance role and/or dancers in the chorus. There is a lot of movement in this show. You do NOT need to be a seasoned dancer to dance in the chorus. We would love to see as many people as possible attempt the dance audition. We will do a quick review at auditions and allow you plenty of chances to run through it that day. Our intention is to assess how you pick things up and see your personality shine! Have fun with this! IMPORTANT: the dance audition video is in a mirror image, so do exactly as Erin does in the video. The adult dance auditions will occur at 1:45 on BOTH Saturday and Sunday (so, if your audition time is 2:30 or later, you need to come by 1:45 for the dance audition prior to your vocal auditions). On Monday, the dance audition for adults is at 5:45 for all Monday auditionees. Kids, you are welcome to learn this dance if you wish. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO. You will be assessed for your movement potential in a quick follow-the-leader style dance audition. If you learned the pre-recorded choreography, you can show it to us as well! CALLBACKS: Callback Auditions will be on April 19th beginning at 10:00 am for selected performers. Emails will be sent with additional information regarding callbacks. If interested, please apply.
