Children Theatre Casting Call for "Annie" Show

Kids ages 7-13 years old are invited to audition for the "Annie" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations... and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. Additional info: Those auditioning are asked to prepare 16 measures of a Broadway/Jazz style song from the show (or of a similar style) to be sung with recorded accompaniment. A sound system will be available for the playing of background tracks, but there will not be an accompanist available. A Capella Auditions will not be allowed. Please be prepared for “cold readings” from the script and dress for movement (no jeans, sandals, flip flops, etc.) as there will be a short dance combination taught as part of the audition. Directors ask that you plan to stay the entire time to ensure that all parts of the audition are completed. WHEN WILL REHEARSALS BE HELD? Rehearsals will begin Monday, April 14th, and will generally run Monday-Thursday 6-8:30 PM during the month of April and 6-9 PM during the months of May and June. Adjustments may be made according to the needs of the cast. WHAT DATES WILL THE SHOW RUN? Production dates are June 13-15, June 19-22, and June 26-29, 2025.
