Casting a short SFSU Student Thesis film where a tech businessman forms an unlikely connection with a fruit vendor in a city park, only to confront the harsh realities of privilege, prejudice, and systemic injustice when his new friend is suddenly arrested forcing him to decide whether to walk away or take a stand for what’s right.

Valentina, a 10 year old girl immigrated to the US with her father at five. Though she doesn’t fully understand why they left, she has adapted with a child's resilience and curiosity. Quiet and observant, she treasures her single toy doll, worn from constant play. Despite their struggles she is deeply attached to her father, seeing him as both protector and source of comfort. She is beginning to learn English but primarily speaks Spanish, communicating with her father in a mix of both languages.
