Singing Audition for "Annie" Musical
Kids ages 7-13 years old are welcome to audition for the "Annie" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Based on the 1924 comic strip Little Orphan Annie by Harold Gray, this celebration of family, optimism, and the American spirit remains the ultimate cure for all the hard knocks life throws your way! Additional info: Please prepare a 1-minute song of your choice that highlights your vocal range. Please bring sheet music in your key for the pianist. Auditions will include readings from the script. Sides will be available at the audition. Those auditioning should be prepared to list all conflicts or potential conflicts and their availability for the rehearsal period, as specified in the Audition notice. Rehearsals Rehearsals will begin Monday, April 14th Generally held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM, and Sunday afternoons from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM Detailed Rehearsal schedules will be made available upon the completion of casting Tech/dress rehearsal week: June 8, 9, 10, 12 Performances June 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 Friday & Saturday evenings at 8:00 PM Sunday matinees at 2:30 PM No conflicts accepted during performance dates If interested, please apply.

Annie is a tough streetwise kid who is vulnerable when she thinks she might lose what has become most important to her: a newfound “family” who loves her. Throughout the show she shows independent, needy, maternal, and hopeful qualities. Although she is at times aggressive or crafty, there is no doubt that Annie is a friendly and caring child.
