"She Kills Monsters-Young Adventures Edition" Needs Teens

Is an “average” high school senior girl. The stereotypical popular girl, she is a cheerleader with a football player boyfriend. After her little sister Tilly dies she discovers a notebook in Tilly’s locker that contains a D&D campaign. She goes to a local game store and finds Chuck who helps her play the campaign where she learns about her sister and herself while processing the grief of her loss.

Agnes' little sister Tilly dies in the Prologue but returns as Tillius the noble paladin within the D&D Adventure. While Tillius looks and sounds like Tilly they are but a character created by her and often remind Agnes of this throughout. Actor must be comfortable with briefly simulating making out with another female. Any sort of gymnastics, dance, or other movement training would be helpful but is not mandatory.

Dark Elf Kaliope is a core member of Tillius’ party. She is “lacking in emotional awareness” but is a great warrior. We see her once as her “real world” alias Kelly who uses fore-arm crutches to help stabilize her cerebral palsy. Any sort of gymnastics, dance, or other movement training would be helpful but is not mandatory.

Demon queen daughter of the devil himself and another member of Tillus’ party. She is snarky and full of sarcasm and sass. Real world Lilly is “mousy” and timid. Actor must be comfortable with briefly simulating making out with another female. Any sort of gymnastics, dance, or other movement training would be helpful but is not mandatory.

Agnes’ best friend in the real world she is a cheerleader but with a bit of a “punk rockish” vibe. She works at the gap and is not a huge fan of Agnes’ boyfriend Miles. Vera also supplies the voice of the beholder.

Succubus Cheerleader who bullies Tillus within the campaign. Nasty and cruel mean girl to the extreme. Dance experience a plus for EPIC dance battle. Any sort of gymnastics, dance, or other movement training would be helpful but is not mandatory.

Small but sassy. Happy but NOT nice. The first boss our party battles this little fae is only in one scene but she is the star. Actor playing Farrah will also play other monsters throughout the show. Any sort of gymnastics, dance, or other movement training would be helpful but is not mandatory.

Our Dungeon Master extraordinaire Chuck gives off “grunge rocker roadie” vibes. An almost constant presence on stage he will be Agnes’ guide as she learns about the game, her sister. And herself. Chuck has a way with words and likes to use it to mess with people.

Agnes’ boyfriend. The stereotypical dumb jock. Miles cares about Agnes but doesn’t understand why she is acting so strange as she is hiding the fact that she is playing dungeons and dragons from him at the start. He ends up joining her in the end. Miles also makes an appearance as a shapeshifter for a boss battle dressed like “Conan the Barbarian”

Large red demon that is reluctantly recruited to Tillus’ party. He would rather be home in his lair watching the latest TV shows. We briefly meet his real world alias Ronnie, an awkward pop culture loving guy. Any sort of gymnastics, dance, or other movement training would be helpful but is not mandatory.

The comic relief. “Great Mage Steve” appears throughout the campaign only to be immediately killed in various ways.

Actor will guide our audience along through the story as the narrator does. The Actor will also portray one or more monsters throughout the show if needed.

The costumed monsters will be a big part of our show and have tons of fun with fight choreography. There will also be an opportunity for puppeteering on a few of our monsters. These roles may not have lines but they will be critically essential to our show. Any sort of gymnastics, dance, or other movement training would be helpful but is not mandatory.
