Young Boys Audition in "Seal of Confession" Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking two boys ages 7-13 for production of "Seal of Confession". More details are below. About the project: "Seal of Confession" is a short dramatic thriller centered around themes of morality and faith. Yuri, a reserved and dedicated priest is unsettled by a disturbing confession from Ilyas, a troubled and mysterious young man. As he battles his inner temptation to sin, Ilyas’ confessions grow more disturbing as he reveals details about being raised under the punishing hand of his catholic devout grandmother, and how he now sees himself as an instrument of divine justice. As the only one knowing about the mysterious confession, Yuri finds himself in the moral dilemma between saving the life of Granny or intervening and breaking his seal of confession. When the weight of his secret becomes unbearable, Yuri is forced to confront his need to do the right thing over his self-preservation, pushing him to question his faith in ways he has never before. As we come to understand Ilyas's dark past we see the complex truth about morality. As Yuri struggles to save a life and maintain his place as a priest, his moral failures threaten his carefully constructed life. Rate: Non-Union. VOLUNTEER. Additionally, the narrative will involve scenes of violence, including murders and blood. Directors ask that all cast and crew approach these elements with sensitivity and professionalism. Exact physical matches are not required, as minor adjustments can be made (e.g., temporary hair color). Looking for young actors who can handle emotionally complex material with subtlety. Prior acting experience is a plus, but not required. Must be comfortable working with emotional and psychological intensity. Parental/guardian consent required. Actor should be comfortable around animals specifically birds. When applying, please submit your head shot. Directors will then invite selected candidates to self tape by sending you the sides.

Physical Traits: Preferably black hair and green eyes, but an exact match is not required. We may use washable hair spray if needed. Performance Requirements: Needs to show protectiveness over Young Ilyas while also expressing fear. Ability to display emotional depth and concern for his "brother." Must be comfortable acting in intense and dramatic scenes. Strong non-verbal acting skills preferred.
Physical Traits: Preferably dark blonde hair and light brown eyes, but close matches are welcome. Hair color adjustments (e.g., washable hair spray) may be used if necessary. Performance Requirements: Must be able to follow simple instructions and take direction well. Needs to convincingly portray a sense of trauma and fear. Must be able to perform a scene where he pretends to hit something on the ground with a Styrofoam rock (no actual harm will take place).
