About the project: "Shattered Trust" is a dramatic short film about betrayal, love, and the devastating consequences of hidden secrets. Olivia and Avery are lifelong best friends, sharing everything with each other-until Olivia starts dating Ben. As their friendship evolves, Olivia becomes unaware that Avery and Ben have secretly started a romantic relationship behind her back. When Olivia eventually uncovers the truth, she is heartbroken and furious, feeling betrayed by both of them. The story takes a dark twist when Olivia receives a final video message from Avery, recorded just before her death in a tragic car accident. Avery’s words hint at the possibility that her death may not have been as accidental as it seemed. As Olivia watches the video, she is left reeling from the shock and unable to process everything. Avery is remorseful and conflicted but ultimately reveals the truth in her final message to Olivia. The actor should be able to play a character torn between guilt and self-preservation.
Ben is charming and confident, but beneath his exterior lies a character who is capable of manipulation and deceit. He is Olivia’s boyfriend, but he secretly has an affair with Avery. As the story progresses, the consequences of his actions begin to unravel. The actor must be able to portray a mix of charm, guilt, and emotional vulnerability as Ben confronts the fallout of his betrayal.
