Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, and Grandma are all here, and their delightfully spooky world is about to be turned upside down. When Wednesday Addams falls in love with a "normal" guy and invites him and his family over for dinner, the stage is set for a comically creepy collision of families, secrets, and plenty of Addams Family antics. With catchy tunes, witty dialogue, and the iconic Addams Family charm, this musical is a guaranteed treat for the whole family (even the slightly morbid ones!). Prepare for an evening of laughter, love, and a healthy dose of the delightfully bizarre. "The Addams Family" promises each audience member an unforgettable theatrical experience that you won't want to miss! Additional info: Children, ages 9-13: All youth auditioners must be prepared to sing Pugsley’s song, “What If”, even if you are not auditioning for Pugsley; young auditioners will not need to sing any other songs. Their audition will consist of singing “What If” and group acting and dancing workshops. The environment will be fun and collaborative! There will be openings for a small number of children to participate in The Addams Family. Pugsley, however, is the only speaking role that is open to young performers. Both children and teens will be considered for puppeteering opportunities. Please attend auditions promptly at 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 12th. Teens, ages 14+: Please prepare 32 bars of a song not from "The Addams Family". An accompanist will be provided; please bring sheet music. Auditioners will be asked to read from the script of The Addams Family. Audition sides will be available in the lobby to review prior to auditioning. Some auditioners will need to attend dance auditions on April 13th. There will be three groups of cast members in the show: Ancestors: The ancestors will each have a unique personality and costume from various periods in history. The director and costume designer will work closely with you to develop your ancestor character. The ancestors will be busy throughout the show, featured in many songs and scenes with opportunities for lines and solos among the ancestors. Those strictly interested in being an ancestor are encouraged to attend auditions on Saturday, April 12th between 8:00 and 9:00 pm. Featured Dance Ancestors: Anyone interested in being considered for a featured dance position please attend auditions on Sunday, April 13th, and stay for the dance auditions.
