"Something Rotten" Musical Needs Teen Dancers
Seeking actors ages 16 and up for "Something Rotten" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick’s 2014 musical, Something Rotten!, is a larger-than-life musical imagining of life and art in late-16th-century London. The show depicts William Shakespeare at the height of his popularity and the attempts of his jealous contemporaries to compete, all told with much silliness and irreverence befitting the Bard. Additional info: Bring a headshot and resume to your in-person audition. Prepare a one-minute monologue of your choice AND a song in the style of Something Rotten! that showcases your vocal and acting ranges. Smartphone connections will be available for playing accompaniment. Everyone who auditions will attend a dance call (offered on each day of initial auditions 12:00-1:00 pm) Call-backs: Sunday, March 29: 1 pm-5 pm Performance dates: July 11-13 / 18-19 If interested, please apply.
