Singing Audition for "Newsies Jr." Show

Seeking performers ages 7-18 years old for the "Newsies Jr." Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Newsies Jr. is a youth adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical. The story follows young newsboys in 1899 as they rally together to fight for justice, showcasing resilience and determination through an inspiring tale and memorable music. Additional info: Audition Requirements: Prepare one minute of a song in the style of the show you’re auditioning for. Bring comfortable clothing for the dance call. Audition forms will be available at the audition and must be filled out during the process. Important Details: -Show Dates: July 11 - July 13, 2025 - Mandatory Tech Week: July 6 - July 11, 2025 -A full rehearsal schedule will be distributed at auditions. All conflicts must be logged on the audition form: -Directors will not accept additional conflicts after the audition form is submitted. Conflict Example: “I am in this show” is not acceptable. Instead, list specific dates and times you are unavailable. Be clear and honest. It is the director’s decision to determine how conflicts are handled, so do not assume they will be accommodated. To be seriously considered for a role or position, a minimum of three months of dance experience is required. -Directors highly recommend prior training in ballet, jazz, and tap to prepare for the audition.
