Kid Audition For Singing in "Newsies"

Kid singing audition for "Newsies". See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Callbacks Sat. March 22nd THURSDAY Vocal Auditions (6pm-9pm): Auditionees need to prepare 45 seconds of a musical theater song or a song in the style of the show. You will need to provide an instrumental track (karaoke track) preferably on a phone. (The directors will provide a speaker) Auditionees need to arrive at least 30 minutes before their audition time slot to sign in and turn in their headshot. FRIDAY Dance Auditions: 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Ages 8-13 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM: Ages 14-18 Certain auditionees will be asked to stay for a Tap Audition from 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM. Auditionees need to be dressed to move; dance clothes are preferable. If your child does not own dance clothes, leggings and sneakers are acceptable. Bring water. Check with our office to see if there are any special shoe requirements (e.g., Tap Shoes). Auditionees will go into a large dance room to be taught a brief dance combo by the choreographer. After running the combo a few times, auditionees will be called in as a group to perform the combo in front of the creative team. Please see the attachment for details.
