Singing Audition for "Sister Act" The Musical
Casting actors aged 16 and up for "Sister Act The Musical". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Strong vocalists with the ability to act and move well. Ensemble dancers with character and charisma. How to Audition: Prepare: A short vocal performance (32 bars) of your selected song from Sister Act. Choose a song to sing that showcases your desired character. For in-person auditions, there will be NO accompanist. You must bring a CD with accompaniment, or have a digital file (flash drive/or mobile) provided it is edited and cued correctly. Callbacks will be by Invitation Only: Monday, Feb 24th, 2025 at 7-10 pm Callbacks will consist of vocals, dance, and readings from the show. Rehearsals will begin March 3, 2025, with in-person sessions typically Monday - Thurs (7-10 pm) and sporadic Saturdays. Tech Rehearsals: Sat. April 19, 2025 - Thurs. April 24, 2025 Performances: April 25, 26, 27 - May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10. Fri and Sat performances are at 8 pm and Sun Performances are at 2 pm. If interested, please apply.

Vocal Range: D3–E5 Description: The stern yet kind-hearted leader of the convent. Mother Superior struggles to accept Deloris and her unconventional ways but ultimately comes to respect her. Requires a strong actor with a commanding presence and great comedic timing.
Vocal Range: F#3–A5 Description: A shy, timid postulant who blossoms under Deloris’ influence. Mary Robert discovers her voice, both literally and figuratively. Requires a strong singer who can belt and portray innocence with depth.
Vocal Range: G3–E6 Description: The bubbly, enthusiastic, and optimistic nun who is always eager to help. A comedic character actor with strong vocal and movement skills.
Vocal Range: F3–B4 Description: The sarcastic, deadpan choir mistress with a quick wit and no-nonsense attitude. She eventually warms up to Deloris’ new musical direction. A comedic role requiring strong timing and vocal skills.
Vocal Range: A2–Ab4 Description: A smooth-talking, dangerous nightclub owner and gangster. Curtis is Deloris’ ex-boyfriend and the antagonist of the story. Needs a strong actor with a commanding presence and a rich voice.
Vocal Range: Ab2–B4 Description: A lovable, awkward, and well-meaning police officer with a crush on Deloris. Eddie is determined to protect her and eventually finds his confidence. Requires strong acting, comedic timing, and vocal skills.
Vocal Range: Db3–Eb5 Description: Curtis’ goofy, dimwitted nephew and one of his henchmen. A comedic character with good vocal and movement skills.
Vocal Range: Bb2–Eb5 Description: One of Curtis’ henchmen. Joey is confident, full of himself, and thinks he’s irresistible. A strong comedic actor with good vocal ability.
Vocal Range: C4–F5 (Falsetto needed) Description: Curtis’ Spanish-speaking henchman with a flair for dramatic gestures. A comedic role requiring a strong character actor and vocal skills.
Vocal Range: E3–G4 Description: The kind, friendly priest of the convent. Monsignor enthusiastically supports Deloris’ musical changes. A strong character actor with good vocal ability.
