7th-12th Graders are welcome to audition for "Footloose" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Footloose is a musical based on the 1984 film of the same name. It tells the story of a teenager who moves from the city to a small town where dancing is banned and encourages his classmates to defy the local preacher. The show features an Oscar-nominated score, including hits like "Holding Out for a Hero" and "Let's Hear it for the Boy", and new songs written for the stage. Additional info: Note: If cast, there will be a production fee applied per cast member. This fee will be used towards production expenses, including costumes, props, sets, tech and more. Even with this in place, it is the commitment and mission to provide access to the arts for EVERY kid. Rehearsals for the production will take place starting March 31st and will be held weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with occasional Saturday rehearsals as well. First Rehearsal: Monday, March 31st from 6-9 pm at Saint Mary's - Madeleva Hall REHEARSAL'S WILL BE HELD Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (6-8:30 pm) and occasional Saturdays (11 am-3 pm) TECH WEEK: June 8th-12th from 5:30-10:30 pm (mandatory for all cast members) PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE: FRIDAY, June 13th @ 7pm SATURDAY, June 14th @ 2pm SATURDAY, June 14th @ 7pm SUNDAY, June 15th @ 2pm Show Dates: June 13th-15th If interested, please apply.
