Young Talent Wanted for "Matilda the Musical Jr."

"Matilda the Musical Jr." is looking for performers ages 8-18 years old. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical Jr is based on Roald Dahl's classic children's book, "Matilda". The story follows the life of a young girl named Matilda who is magnificently intelligent but constantly belittled and mistreated by her parents and the terrifying headmistress at her school Additional info: The audition will consist of reading from the script and singing a short song that you prepare for the audition. For the singing portion of the audition, you may choose to sing any song you like. However, directors encouraged actors to sing a song from Roald Dahl's MATILDA THE MUSICAL JR or from a Disney musical, if possible. Actors will sing without an instrumental accompaniment … a cappella. ​Performance will take place on May 8, 9, 10 & 11, 2025, on the main stage at, The Medium, A Place to Create. NOTE: ACTORS ARE EXPECTED AND REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL REHEARSALS FOR WHICH THEY ARE CALLED AND ALL PERFORMANCES! Note that the participation fee will be involved.
