Rate: If cast in "Once Upon a Mattress", all participants will be given a $250 stipend for their time, energy, and artistry. Additional info: The season includes: "Annie" "Once Upon a Mattress" During the 5-minute time slot, auditioners are asked to present 16 bars of a musical theater song for the musical and/or a 1-minute monologue for the plays. During the 5-minute time slot, auditioners may be invited to attend the dance call on 2/23 (for Youth & Teens). If the panel would like to see more, you will be notified via email with an invitation to attend Callbacks on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Commitment Dates: Tuesday, July 8 – Sunday, August 10. ANNIE Rehearsals: 7/8 - 7/20 Tech: 7/21 - 7/25 Perform:7/26 - 8/10 ONCE UPON A MATTRESS (Launchpad Company, 15-20 year olds) Rehearsals: 8/4 - 8/17 Tech: 8/18 - 8/21 Perform: 8/22 - 8/24 Note that the fee will be applied for Kids auditioning for "Annie". The loud, talkative woman who really rules the country. She is trying to keep her son, Prince Dauntless, from getting married. Voice: Alto (A3 to B4)
An energetic and peppy wit who serves the King and assists him with every endeavor. The Jester also plots with the Minstrel to spoil the Queen's plans. Voice: Tenor (C#3 to Ab4)
A kind, expressive, and playful old man who is silent due to a curse placed upon him by a witch before the birth of his son, Dauntless. Voice: Non-Singing
A charming young woman who desperately wants to marry Sir Harry because she is pregnant with his baby. She tries to flee the Kingdom after having an argument with Sir Harry, but is convinced by Winnifred to stay. Voice: Soprano (B3 to Ab5)
The charismatic narrator of the story. He is a realist with a twinkle, a sophisticate with a heart. He and the Jester join forces to stop the Queen's plans. Voice: Tenor (D3 to Ab4)
The macho, romantic knight who decides to go on a quest to find a princess for Prince Dauntless. Harry loves Lady Larken and wants to marry her as soon as possible. Voice: Tenor (C3 to F4)
