About the project: "A Town Called Friendly" highlights the true and astonishing stories of Farmersville, Texas, whose history spans 150 years. Collectively stories of triumph, heartbreak, and humor unfold while following the life of Charles Rike, the town's pharmacist and historian, and his side-kick friend Bob Poole, a reporter and owner of the Farmersville Times Newspaper. This show is an abbreviated version of the musical with fast-paced antidotes and songs celebrating the enduring spirit of this small Texas town whose citizens' contributions have shaped a rich and lasting legacy in Farmersville's ever-evolving story.
