Auditions are open to all performers ages 10 and up for "Annie" and "Elf" The Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: "Annie" Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie has become a worldwide phenomenon and was the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The beloved book and score by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse, and Martin Charnin, features some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written, including “Tomorrow.” "Elf" The Musical A title known the world over, Elf The Musical is a must-produce holiday musical that can easily become an annual tradition for any theatre. Based on the cherished 2003 New Line Cinema hit, Elf features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar (The Wedding Singer) and Chad Beguelin (Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway), with a book by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone). Additional info: Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your audition time to check in. Auditioners from all age groups will be given a short vocal selection and a short dance to learn and perform at the audition. All auditioners will learn the same song and dance together regardless of which show(s) they are auditioning for. Parents and others may wait in the east gym but will not be allowed to observe the auditions, only those auditioning and the production staff will be allowed in the room while auditions are going on.
