Casting call for boys and girls ages 13-18 for the stage play "The Prom." See details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Four fading Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town Indiana prom—and the press is involved—they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. Now, Broadway’s brassiest are coming to join the fight and they are ready to kick-ball-change the world. Additional info: Be prepared to perform a 1-2 minute song showcasing your range in the style of the show. Bring a recorded track to sing to. You will also be learning and performing a short dance in a group. Callbacks as needed will be on Sunday, February 23 at 1 pm. Rehearsals begin with a read through Sunday, April 13. Regular rehearsals will be Sundays 6-9 pm and Mondays – Thursdays, 7-10 date TBD. Starting Tech Week (June 8) rehearsals typically run longer. There will also be a Cue-to-Cue on Saturday, June 14 (10 am – 4 pm). Evening Performances: June 20, 21 & July 10, 12, 18 (8:00 pm, 6:30 call) Matinee Performances: June 22, 28, 29 & July 13, 19 (2:00 pm, 12:30 call) Please see the attachment for details.
