Casting Call for Boys and Girls for "The Sound of Music"
Seeking kids and teens for "The Sound of Music" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria, and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision. Additional info: Those auditioning are asked to prepare 32 bars, or one minute, of a song in the style of The Sound of Music. An accompanist will not be provided for the audition; we ask that you please bring an instrumental track or accompaniment track with you to the auditions, a speaker to plug up to will be provided. NOTE: Callbacks will be held on Sunday, February 23rd at 6:30. Rehearsals will begin the week of April 14th. Show dates are June 12th through 22nd, 2025; Tech Week will begin on June 5th; No conflicts will be accepted after June 1st. Please fill out the Audition Form that is attached. Suitor to Liesl, telegram delivery boy, later Nazi soldier. A very pleasant young man, somewhat aggressive but in a gentle way.
