Kid Actors Needed for "The Claw" Musical
Kids grades 1-8 are welcome to audition for "The Claw: A New Children’s Musical". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: When an out-of-order claw game suddenly turns back on, all of the toys are ecstatic! Well… all of the toys except for Dot, a terrified stuffed cow. Dot’s desperate to hold onto her home and her best friend, Aiden. Can Dot conquer her fear of the unknown with some help from the Flair Bears, Mighty Mutant Power Turtles, Beanie Elders, and the all-knowing Mystical 8-ball? Additional info: Please come prepared to sing either a short clip from the song attached to the signup link (from minute 3:45-4:16 - DOES NOT need to be memorized, lyrics will be provided) or you may also audition singing 30 seconds of whatever song you want! Both solo and non-solo parts will be cast - so for those who do not like to sing solo, you can choose to only sing in groups. There will also be cold readings (lines from the show) provided at auditions to read. Rehearsals: Begin February 16th and will be held every Sunday from 1-3 pm at the Black Velvet Dance Studio in Newport. Performance Dates & Location: May 9th & 10th at Nokomis Regional High School.
