Seeking Boys and Girls for "Schoolhouse Rock Jr." Musical

Kids ages 7-13 years old are welcome to audition for "Schoolhouse Rock Jr." Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: A loose, revue-like structure allows for a great deal of flexibility in staging and cast size in this energetic musical, which follows Tom, a young schoolteacher, who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Memorable songs as "Just a Bill," "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction" bring his lesson plans vividly to life. Additional info: Audition will include: Singing, then cold reads and movement in small groups. While there are singing lead roles and light-to-no singing roles available, everyone is expected to sing at auditions. Parents are required to accompany the actor to sign a release form and assist with completing the audition form. Bring your calendar to identify any schedule conflicts. Conflicts submitted after auditions could affect casting. Please bring your actor ready to be photographed, wearing a plain dark color shirt (preferably black) and closed-toed shoes they can move in. Photos may be used to promote the show. If you have a Resume please bring it. Rehearsals Begin: Mon, Feb 10th, 6:00-7:30 PM & Sat, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Show Dates: May 17th-18th.
