Singing Audition for "Annie" Play
Singing auditions for the play "Annie". See details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Please dress in comfortable clothing you can move in. No flip flops, crocs, sandals, etc. All auditioning should attend both the movement call and vocal audition. Please prepare a 32 bar cut of a musical theatre song. An accompanist will be provided. The Annie ensemble has a lot to do! You’ll play a variety of characters! Callbacks - Sunday, February 9 at 11:00 am. You will be notified if you are needed for a callback. Actors may be asked to sing additional material and read provided scenes. Rehearsals begin early June. Performances July 10-20. Please see the audition packet attached. Annie is a tough & determined, seemingly eleven-year-old streetwise urchin, who can be aggressive and crafty, as well as friendly and caring. Annie must be a strong actor and singer and possess the maturity to carry a show. Mezzo-Soprano A3-G5
She is the loyal private secretary to Oliver Warbucks. Grace is mature, calm, and classy. She is businesslike when dealing with Miss Hannigan, yet maternal toward Annie. Like her name, she should have a graceful stage presence. Vocal Range: Soprano Bb3-G5
Miss Hannigan's despicable brother. Rooster is flashy and self-assured. His “moves” are as smooth as a gambler’s: sly, and deceiving.
