About the project: Synopsis: A present that is near yet future yet fictional. A present our present could be leaning towards. A northern region getting warmer, where fruits, vegetables, and other cultivations have invaded the once icy plains. In the middle of the night, Nussi is transferred from an all-girls summer camp to an all-boys one, Orange Grove. There, she meets Azam, Mox, and Verley. The Colonel’s Wife, the widow of a high-ranking Colonel, runs and owns the place, along with the help of Tino, the head gardener. The place appears to be quiet and peaceful, cadenced by expected summer activities. Yet, the playful atmosphere is a deceiving veneer. The Orange Grove is a provisional detention center for young people, whom the world deems undesirable, or useless. Upon Nussi’s arrival, the group struggles to figure out why she was brought to the Grove, what the Colonel’s Wife and Tino’s intentions truly are, and where the possibility of their future lies. Additional info: Rehearsals start February 28th Performances are Friday, April 4th (eve) and Saturday, April 5th (mat + eve). Sides will be provided.
