Casting Call for Kids for "Night of 1,000 Stars" Talent Show
Seeking youth ages 5-18 years old for the "Night of 1,000 Stars" Talent Show. Please see the details below. Additional info: Night of 1,000 Stars is free for performers, who audition, rehearse, and perform live on stage in the event. Dress rehearsals are scheduled for the week of the shows from February 24–27 with live shows Friday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, March 1 at the Taos Center for the Arts. For auditions, youth are asked to prepare three different numbers/acts and to bring all instruments, background tracks, and costumes. Singing along with another artist’s pre-recorded vocals and lip-syncing aren’t allowed. Performing artists who are singers, dancers, actors, bands, and instrumentalists are invited to audition. In addition, young poets are asked to consider showcasing poetry with the theme, “Where We Live.” Stars are expanding to include filmmakers and photographers to audition and show their work during the live shows as well. All accepted artists will have options of additional coaching for their pieces. Talent under 18 needs a parent/guardian to sign permission forms. If interested, please apply.
