Child Actors Needed for "Ragtime" The Musical

Goodspeed is seeking Non-Equity child actors to play and understudy the roles in the 2025 production of "Ragtime". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Goodspeed Musicals has achieved international acclaim and is the first theatre in the nation to receive two Tony Awards for outstanding achievement in musical theatre. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Donna Lynn Hilton, Goodspeed Musicals is dedicated to the celebration, development, and advancement of musical theatre. Goodspeed creates powerful, world-class productions of enlightening new and established works to delight, inspire,e and challenge audiences on its two stages – The Goodspeed in East Haddam, Conn., and The Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn. Additional info: All candidates should prepare a 32-bar cut of an up-tempo song with appropriate sheet music. Music must be legible and in the proper key (no lead sheets please). An accompanist will be provided. Bring a resume and a recent photo. Candidates must be available for four weeks of rehearsal and nine weeks of performances between April 8, 2025, (first rehearsal) and June 15, 2025, (close) in East Haddam.
