Casting Young Talents for 'Pescador de Sueños' Student Film
Orange County School of the Arts Student Film. “Pescador De Sueños” (“Dream Fishermen”) follows the journey of a young Hispanic boy who struggles with his identity and family expectations. With a father more interested in doing street deals and a mother not much emotionally older than he is, the boy comes to find solace in his emerging artistic talents while having dreams of a mysterious mermaid. With the support of his grandmother and a local homeless man, the boy navigates his conflicted household, while deciding what direction he wants to take in life: the way of art or the streets. A chance encounter with a vibrant drag community eventually opens his eyes to a world of acceptance and self-expression.
