Young Boy Needed for a Short Film "Paid in Pieces"

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking a boy ages 12-14 for a short film "Paid in Pieces". Please, see the detaills below. About the project: Grayson signs up for Selling Scars, a voluntary research program where they perform a procedure in which you can choose a memory to give away in exchange for cash. After the procedure, he hides the cash from his wife Nora, and decides not to tell her as he is ashamed of the fact that this is the way he got the money. He decides to continuously go back and give away more memories of the abuse because he sees no negatives to the procedure. As he grows more and more greedy for money and forgets more of his past, Nora starts noticing changes in his demeanour. He begins to grow easily agitated and aggressive towards her. She doesn’t know why he’s being this way and he doesn’t know any better himself. As those memories fade, he slowly loses that part of himself that learned to be so gentle, loving, and protective. After all of his memories of the abuse are gone, he has completely lost his sense of self. Nora’s concern and questioning get on his nerves and they break out into an argument. The fight ends with Grayson living out his trauma and repeating the abuse his father displayed in his youth as he turns into everything he hated and never wanted to be. Rate: Union and Non-Union. This is a non-paid opportunity; however, meals will be provided during the shoot, reasonable transportation expenses will be covered, and a copy of the final project will be given for use in your showreel or portfolio.
