Casting Teen Performers for "She Kills Monsters" Show
Auditions for the "She Kills Monsters" Show are open for ages 13 and up. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: "She Kills Monsters" is a play that tells the story of Agnes Evans, a young woman who grapples with the grief of her younger sister Tilly's sudden death by immersing herself in a fantasy role-playing game, where she creates a world of monsters and battles them as a way to process her loss; the play explores themes of family, grief, and the power of imagination to cope with trauma. Additional info: Directors ask that you prepare one of the monologues attached. It does not need to be memorized but, please get comfortable with the material. Callbacks will be held on February 20th from 7 pm to 9 pm if needed. Performances will be on April 25th, 26th, and 27th at the Brooklyn Community Center. This innocent-looking faerie is actually a vulgar, brutal murderer. The actor must be comfortable with performing physical combat (training will be provided), profanity, witnessing scripted homophobia, grief, and heavy makeup.
