About the project: A melodramatic comedy that celebrates the way we relate to one another through sadness. Tilly's melancholy is of an exquisite quality. She turns her melancholy into a sexy thing, and every stranger she meets falls in love with her. One day, inexplicably, Tilly becomes happy, wreaking havoc on the lives of her paramours. Rate: Theatre is committed to paying theatre professionals for their work. For this production, all of artists (actors and crew) will be paid a minimum of $200 each. The directors will also be accepting audience donations during the run purely focused on paying artists more. Additional info: Invited callbacks January 20 from 6:30-10:00pm Resume and Headshot and prepare one memorized melodramatic comedic monologue no longer than 90seconds. Please also prepare one short song in the style of the show (ballads are preferred). Please bring a phone with Bluetooth or other device to play your backing track from. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. All actors must be fully vaccinated. Rehearsal Dates: February 15 - April 5 | Sundays - Thursdays 6:30-9:30 *Actors will not be called to all rehearsals. The directors will work around your conflicts, and you will receive a full, detailed rehearsal schedule before the first rehearsal.
