**Practices will be Mondays and Thursdays until show week March 6-8th.
One Saturday music workshop on January 11th.
**If you are ages 6-9, you don’t need to prepare anything for auditions.
**Students 10-18:
Choose one of the selected monologues to memorize, even if you want to be a newsie whose monologue isn’t included.
**Here’s info on characters, monologues, and songs to start practicing! Younger students will not need to prepare anything unless they want to audition up, but can learn (optional) these songs early: Seize the Day, Once and For All, Brooklyns Here chant, Finale song!
There are characters that have solos, characters that don’t sing or dance at all, characters that sing and dance often (newsies!). So read about each character and choose who to audition for.
If you want a character with a solo (Jack, Katherine, Crutchie, Medda) you must learn their solo and we will ask you to perform without the vocals. Including a link with both versions.
