Kids Needed for "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz"

Performers ages 6-18 are invited to audition for "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Follow the adventures of a Kansas farm girl named Dorothy and her pet dog Toto, as they are swept away by a cyclone into Munchkin Country in the magical Land of Oz. Granted a pair of enchanted silver shoes by the Good Witch of the North, Dorothy befriends a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodman, and a Cowardly Lion in her quest to get to the Emerald City and find her way back home. Many trials await them including battling the Wicked Witch of the West and her Winged Monkeys. One of America’s most famous and truly loved fairy tales! Additional info: GENERAL AUDITIONS: Students do not need to prepare anything but should be ready to speak loudly and clearly on the stage independently and be ready to learn a simple dance in a group setting. MONOLOGUE AUDITIONS: Students should prepare a memorized monologue at least 10 lines in length, but no more than 1-2 minutes when performed. a) Bring a head and shoulders photo (a school photo is fine). b) Bring the completed AUDITION FORM attached. c) Arrive at least 15 minutes before the audition appointment to allow time for check-in. Auditions begin promptly on time. d) GENERAL AUDITIONS: Wear clothes for movement and comfort (no dresses, skirts, heels) 5) After the Audition, please follow the directions on the AUDITION INFO letter attached to find out if you are cast in the show.
