Kid Actors Needed for "Anne of Green Gables" Show

Calling all young actors ages 10-18 to audition for "Anne of Green Gables" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This dramatization captures the charm and excitement of L.M. Montgomery’s enduring classic about an orphan girl, Anne Shirley, from her first encounter with her austere guardian to her thrilling graduation from Queen’s Academy. The play faithfully recreates the memorable events and characters from the brilliant novel. All the tragedies and triumphs that mark Anne’s growth from adolescence to early adulthood are here: her friendship with Diana, her feuds with Gilbert, her adoration of Matthew, the mistaken wine bottle, the cake disaster, the broken leg, the scholastic achievements, and the saving of Green Gables. Additional info: Auditions will be held in a small group format and consist of cold reads from the script. Directors will make every effort to allow you to read for a specific character if you wish and if a side and the time are available, HOWEVER, by auditioning you understand you may not be cast in the role you want (or may not be cast at all) and agree that if you are cast, to play whatever role you are cast into the best of your ability. Please come in clothes that allow freedom of movement while allowing you to remain appropriately covered. Out of respect for the age range and for your safety, crop tops, tube tops, sports bras with no over-shirt, short shorts or skirts, high heels, and/or open-toed shoes are strongly discouraged. Hair should be styled so that it remains out of your face during the audition process. Directors appreciate you dressing to impress, however, they also want you to be comfortable and able to move! Rehearsals are very important, especially as this show has a shortened rehearsal schedule. Rehearsals will be every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (and some Saturdays) beginning Monday, January 23rd – February 27th. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays will rehearse from 6-8:30 pm (there will be NO rehearsal the week of February 10-14, due to the Night at the Copa event). Saturday, February 8th and 22nd, rehearsal will be from 9 am – 3 pm and Saturday, March 1st, rehearsal will be from 9 am – 5 pm. You will rehearse every day the week of March 3 – 7, as this is known as Tech Week. Call times may begin as early as 4 pm and rehearsal will end at 9:30. Dress Rehearsal is March 5th at 7 pm, and performance dates are March 6th – 8th at 7 pm and March 8th and 9th at 2 pm.
