Casting Teen Performers for "Willy Wonka" Show
Audition for "Willy Wonka" Show. Casting ages 16+, except Charlie, ages 10-13. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Callbacks: If necessary, Monday, January 13 at 6:30 pm. Rehearsals begin Monday, January 20, 2025 Rehearsals will run Mondays - Fridays 6:30-10:00 PM Performance dates are February 28 - March 9, 2025 Fridays and Saturdays @ 7:30 PM, Sundays @ 2:00 PM. THERE ARE FIVE SCHOOL MATINEES: March 4, 5, 11, 12, and 13 at 10:30 AM. Please prepare an uptempo Broadway-style song. You may sing from the score, but it is not a requirement. An accompanist will be provided; please bring your own sheet music. You may also use tracks. There will also be puppet work in this production, so bonus points if you have that skill! The mysterious title character. He his charming, enigmatic, charismatic, and slightly sinister. A. Chocolatier who guides children and their parents on a tour of his factory. He is looking for someone new to take over his candy empire. Optional doubling as CANDY MAN and/or PHINEOUS TROUT/GUY POOR.
A local candy vendor. He leads the children in praising the joys of candy. Optional doubling as WIILLY WONKA and/or PHINEOUS TROUT/GUY POOR.
Our story’s shy, earnest protagonist. From a modest home life, he is humble and noncompetitive while maintaining a sense of wonder about the world. One of the Golden Ticket winners whose honesty and general good nature win Wonka over.

A plump, jolly German woman with a bustling personality. Augustus Gloop’s overindulgent mother. Optional doubling as ENSEMBLE and/or MRS. BUCKETE.
A wealthy, spoiled Brit. She is accustomed to having her father indulge her every whim and desire. One of the Golden Ticket winners, she is subjected to the squirrels’ nut chute. Optional doubling as ENSEMBLE and/or GRANDMA JOSEPHINA.
A wealthy British upperclassman who regularly flaunts his wealth and privilege. Father to Veruca Salt who shamelessly spoils his daughter. Optional doubling as ENSEMBLE and/or MR. BUCKET.
A brassy girl with a competitive streak. Violet seizes every opportunity to show off. Sh turns into a giant blueberry. Optional doubling as ENSEMBLE and/or GRANDMA GEORGINA.
Violet’s enthusiastic “helicopter parent” who focuses all her attention on her daughter. She indulges Violet’s worst competitive impulses. Optional doubling as ENSEMBLe.
