"Disney’s Finding Nemo JR." Child Audition for the Theater
Looking to cast students in grades 1 through 6 for "Disney’s Finding Nemo JR.". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Finding Nemo JR. is a musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves. Additional info: For all roles, please prepare 16-32 bars (30-60 seconds) of a song in the style of Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. or other Disney shows. Please bring sheet music in the key in which you are singing for our accompanist. Please, no a cappella or backing tracks. Rehearsals are scheduled on Sunday afternoons from 1:00-4:00 pm and Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 pm in Foxboro and Mansfield. Not all cast members will be required to be at all rehearsals. A rehearsal schedule will be made once the show is cast. Extra nights may be added as the show nears production week.
