Seeking performers ages 6 and up for "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" Play. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This dramatization of C.S. Lewis' classic work faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting, never-to-be-forgotten Narnia. The intense action features chases, duels, and escapes as the witch is determined to keep Narnia in her possession and to end the reign of Aslan. All the memorable episodes from the story are represented in this exciting dramatization: the temptation of Edmund by the witch, the slaying of the evil wolf by Peter, the witnessing of Aslan's resurrection by Susan and Lucy, the crowning of the four new rulers of Narnia, and more. The supporting characters are also here: the unicorn, the centaur, and other forest animals, along with Father Christmas, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, and Tumnus the Faun. This story of love, faith, courage, and giving, with its triumph of good over evil, is a true celebration of life. Additional info: What to Prepare for Auditions: -Familiarize yourself with the story and content of the show. -Monologue 1-2 min in length, or a memorized passage that is a minimum of 50 words. This passage may be from a script, a poem, or other literature such as the Bible. If asked, performers should be comfortable presenting this passage with different emotions (e.g., anger, grief, joy, etc.). -Wear or bring comfortable clothing appropriate for movement -Be ready to list any conflicts -Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled audition time -A form will be provided to fill out with personal information. Each auditionee’s picture will be taken as part of the sign-in. Resumes and headshots are welcomed but not required. Rehearsals: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Saturdays 8:00 AM – Noon. All cast members must be available for tech week and all performance dates to be considered.
