Dance Opportunities for Girls in "Into the Woods" Musical

Looking for girls ages 15 and up for the classic musical "Into the Woods". Please see the details below. About the project: This version will be movement-heavy and the ensemble will be creating the sets/scenes through heavy usage of props and their bodies. This theatrical style of production will require a longer rehearsal period and actors ready to work hard and have a great time playing together. Additional info: VOCAL AUDITION: Please prepare one of the songs from Into the Woods if possible. You do NOT need to sing the entire song. Please select a portion of one of the songs from the show and sing that selection. You may bring in a tablet, phone, laptop, etc. and plug into the on-site speakers to have accompaniment. NO ACCOMPANIST WILL BE AVAILABLE. Directors suggest one of the following songs from the show for your audition: Hello Little Girl (sung by The Wolf) I Know Things Now (sung by Little Red) Giants in the Sky (sung by Jack) Last Midnight (sung by the Witch) Moments in the Woods (sung by Baker's Wife) No One is Alone (sung by Cinderella, Baker, Little Red, and Jack - please sing as a solo) On the Steps of the Palace (sung by Cinderella) If one of the songs above does NOT match the character you want to audition for, please select a song from the list that best showcases your vocal talents. For the auditions, we are primarily want to hear your voice and determine if you're ready to sing Sondheim-style music. Please read over the monologues attached and pick the one you like best! You do not need to memorize your monologue, reading off the paper is fine. As long as you are comfortable and show us who you are, that’s all we ask! You can find karaoke tracks to practice with on YouTube, Apple Music, and other streaming services. PERFORMANCE DATES: Fri, Sat, Sun – April 25-27 & May 2-4, 2025 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Make sure you know of any conflicts you may have between the Auditions (Jan. 9) and the final performance (May 4).
